Meeting Facilitation. Creative Meeting Design. Cross-cultural Communication Training.

Meetings are sometimes called the engines of an organization.  One study by Harvard Business Review noted that almost 15% of an organization's time is spent in meetings. It is often challenging to have productive meetings because of an unclear or unstructured agenda, vocal participants who hijack the conversation, lack of consensus or disagreements and a lack of follow-up. I can work with you to ensure that productivity in meetings is maxmized through creative meeting design and facilitation.

Cross Cultural Communication

In a diverse work force, that sometimes even spans continents, there are a lot of opportunities to work with people from different cultures.  However, there can also be obstacles in communication where there is a lack of understanding of the other party's communication culture. Having a background in Dispute Resolution, and working experience in 5 countries, I am uniquely poised to deliver workshops on how to communicate cross-culturally in an effective way. My paper on "The Cultural Vacuum in Online Dispute Resolution" was one of the pioneer research papers on the impact of culture on online communication. I was honored to present it at the Asia-Pacific Mediation Forum in 2003, and subsequently at the United Nations Online Dispute Resolution Forum in 2004. It has since become part of the academic literature on the topic.
